more.. We are very excited that your child will be attending Winfield High School, and we look forward to seeing them at our 9th Grade Orientation Day on August 7,2025 from 8am-12pm. Our Warrior Connect Team will help get your 9th grader off to a great start! WHAT IS Warrior Connect? Warrior Connect is our program designed to welcome and support 9th graders. Warrior Connect members are hand selected 11th and 12th graders who are positive, responsible, and will make sure your student is comfortable and successful with their transition into high school. WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? 1. Please fill out the attached survey letting us know if your student will be attending Freshmen Orientation ATTENDANCE SURVEY 2. On the day of Freshmen Orientation (August 7, 2025 at 8:00am) please drop your students off at the front of the high school where they will be greeted by Warrior Connect Members. 3. Throughout the day, students will be engaged in activities that will show them what a typical day in the life of a Winfield High School student looks like. They will be given a tour of the school, find out who is in their Tribe Time, play games typically seen at Spirit assemblies, and so much more! 4. Make sure your student eats a good breakfast before they come, but Trax Pizza will be provided for Lunch. 5. Because the day is active, please make sure that your student wears comfortable clothing and shoes. Students do not need to bring anything with them except a positive attitude. 6. Cell phone use will only be allowed for the photo booth and during lunch on this day. This is a student only function so we encourage you to let your child attend on their own. Please feel free, however, to attend the PARENT MEETING during back to school night on Wednesday, August 13th at 5:30pm in the high school gym.
